NCPA Disaster Response Tabletop Workshop

Since 1953, the NCPA Foundation has provided grant support to independent community pharmacies across the United States. This tabletop session will offer independent community pharmacy owners and their staff the opportunity to workshop a real-life disaster situation alongside peers, identifying steps that should be taken at each turn of a disaster response effort — from the moment a disaster occurs, to its direct impacts on the pharmacy, to the broader effects on the community and patients at large. Participants will also explore ways to update and strengthen their emergency plans to ensure a better response. Pharmacies are encouraged to bring their emergency plans, questions, and will be invited to complete a disaster risk assessment survey.

The session will be presented and moderated by Sonja Pagniano, CFRE, MPA, Executive Director of the NCPA Foundation.

*Please note: Shoot the Breeze® is intended for pharmacists and pharmacy technician attendees. Anyone with a vendor badge will not be permitted to join.
